Seed germination: Perlite can speed up germination and improve seedling growth. 

Potting mixes: Perlite can improve aeration, drainage, and insulation. You can mix perlite with potting soil in a 1:1 ratio. 

Soil conditioning: Perlite can improve the texture of heavy clay or silt soils. 

Turf dressing: Perlite can improve aeration and drainage, which can help with root development and turf growth. 

 

 

 

Hydroponic systems: Perlite can support plants and improve their ability to absorb nutrients and water.

Perlite can be used in lightweight plasters, concrete, mortar, insulation, and ceiling tiles. It can also be used to build composite materials or create syntactic foam.
